Samragyee Rajya Laxmi Shah is a new leading actress of Nepali Cinema.She was born in Birgunj and studied primary level of schooling from St. Xavier’s College, Birgunj. At grade 4 she went to New Delhi in Sai Baba School. She studied there for two years and came to Kathmandu and did her schooling from Grade six in Royal Academy Of India, Kathmandu. She completed her school level education and did her 10 Plus two level from the same school. Samragyee Rajya Laxmi Shah is doing her bachelors degree in social work and has been active in the film line.At an event organized by Classic Diamond Jewelers Fashion Competition she was awarded with second runner-up category with cash prize of NPR 25,000.
In media interviews, Samragyee said she always wanted to be a model since her childhood and had taken up modelling as a hobby since her school days. She was among top 3 models of her school in India. When she was in grade 7, she started watching Victoria Secrets’ fashion shows on TV and was impressed by them.
Samragyee has a royal connection to her heritage since birth. She comes from family background of the former Kings of Nepal of Shah dynasty. Samragyee’s ancestor Narendra Bikram Shah was the youngest of the two sons of Surendra Bir Bikram Shah. Narendra’s son Indra Bikram Shah’s cousin Prithivi Bir Bikram Shah was crowned king after the death of Surendra in 1881.
Samragyee Rajya Laxmi Shah finds herself as an emotional and happiest person when she takes time doing dance,listening music,enjoying good food,playing volley ball,hiking and being with her loved ones.
She made into the film industry with her debut as an actress in the film ‘Dreams’a movie by Bhuwan K.C which also featured his son”Anmol K.c”as a debutant actor. This film was a hit at the box office and the fame of the leading actress Samragyee grew interms of her popularity.She was also the recepient of “Best Newcomer-Female in various award ceremonies.
Currently Samragyee Rajya Laxmi Shah is busy in her second movie being directed by actress Jharana Thapa, ‘A Mero Hajur 2’. She also features in a upcoming movie”Timisanga’ and the trailers are out.
