Barsha Raut is a new generation actress to make into Nepali films. She comes from Sindhuli and has twin brothers as siblings. Her father is a businessman who never wanted to see his daughter in cinemas. Barsha Raut did modeling secretly from her father’s knowledge and did music videos that established her on screen presence and finally got a consent to work in films from her father. Her mother was the back bone who never barred her to work on anything she liked.She believes a heroine or lead actress is not the sole factor for make or break situation of any movie. Good banners and production houses who can elevate an actresses potential are the pull factor for a film to become commercially successful. Barsha Raut film “Nai Navannu La 4” was very successful. She did “Jatra” a blockbuster film and made a hat-trick. She has done about a century of music videos and was liked in Sindhu Malla’s Teej music video and “Khali” by Prakash Timilsina. After that, she was the first choice for music videos from its makers. She is inspired from actors like “Priyanka Karki’ and “Dayahang Rai” who she considers to be very talented.
