Nikhil Upreti is currently a successful and established actor of Nepal. His acting career started with education and training at Mumbai. He worked as assistant fight director for ABCL Corp. of(Amitabh Bachhan).He is also an accomplished Karate Master –Black belt holder and sports lover. No doubt he shines in his movie by doing daring stunts and action without a body double. Throughout his career he has worked in many films.
His first film ‘Pinjada” was a superhit and second film’Maya Ko Jaal’ was also commercial success by these films he became the first choice for Nepali Producers. He has worked with big names in the movie business during his peak. Nikhil Upreti as person is a man of his word and he works hard to achieve his goals. He is a professional who stays very focused and ambitious. He does not look for easy gateway and finds his job in films very interesting. He is well aware about the film industry of Nepal and stays far from any sort of negative publicity or badmouthing. He has many success in his credentials some of his popular films are Santan, Krodh, Kurukshetra, Ram Laxman,Nikhil Dai, Hami Saathi Bhai, Dai ko Sasurali, Parkhibasein, Ghayal, Jeevan Mrityu, Bhairav and Hami teen Bhai.
He got big recognition and won the Best Actor in National Awards-2005 for the latter. For his contributions he was also awarded the Rastriya Nagarik Sworna Samman in 2006. He worked in a film different in the league called ‘Savadhan’ it was also hit. He has also acted in Bhojpuri movies and some bollywood projects in his career span. His filmy career is a successful journey but same cannot be said about his married life. Married to Kopila Upreti and having a child Nikhil allegedly got married to Sanchita Luitel with two children from Nikhil Upreti. His focus is on movie making and he has emerged as an action star.
Recently, the trailer from his new feature film ‘Rudra’ was released.This film is under his own banner of productions and he will be seen in a negative role.
